I notice so many people aren't even aware of how much stress and tension they are carrying around with them - in a society that's built on busy, on the rush to get from one task to the next, that has women trying to work, be a Mum and organise the house (and the billion other roles). It's almost a badge of honour to be busy these days and anything less - well that's just plain lazy, right?
But what if all that busy is really just running you into the ground? Increasing your risk of illness and disease? Driving up your risk for anxiety and depression (or feeding it even more if you're already suffering)? What if all that busy is dragging you further and further away from the self compassion, self love and self respect? Disconnecting you even further with that inner core of stillness and stability?
